Real Skincare Frustrations

The Real Skin Survey · 2026

We asked 117 people what frustrated them most about their skin.

Their answers revealed something bigger than dryness, lines or blemishes.

Women don't need more skincare promises. They need more clarity.

What We Heard

Different concerns. One familiar feeling.

Skincare has never offered more choice. Yet the women we heard from were still unsure whether they were using the right thing — or getting the result they expected.

In Their Own Words

This is what skincare frustration actually sounds like.

"Too many steps with little result."

"Too many creams saying the same thing."

"I'm not getting it right."

"It doesn't do what it says."

"Finding the right products."

"My skin is dry, flaky and doesn't glow."

The Real Discovery

The problem isn't that women don't care about their skin.

It's that skincare has become unnecessarily difficult to understand.

Dozens of concerns appeared in the survey. Behind many of them sat the same emotional frustration: too many choices, too many overlapping promises and too little confidence that the routine was right.

A Qualified Point of View

So we asked our registered aesthetician to make sense of the answers.

Not to diagnose 117 strangers. Not to pretend one cream solves everything. To turn real questions into clear, practical guidance.

Why can skin still feel dry after moisturising?

Because "more product" and "the right product used consistently" are not the same thing. Texture, routine and how your skin feels all matter.

Does a good routine need ten steps?

No. A routine you understand and repeat is often more useful than an elaborate shelf of products you rarely finish.

How soon should I judge a new product?

Pay attention to comfort from the start, but give a suitable routine consistent use before deciding whether it belongs on your shelf.

A Few Honest Answers

Before you choose.

Was this a product trial?

No. This was a consumer insight survey about people's primary skincare frustrations. The customer reviews on this page are existing reviews and are shown separately.

Will these creams treat a diagnosed skin condition?

These are cosmetic moisturisers, not medicines. If you have a diagnosed condition, a persistent reaction or symptoms that concern you, speak to a qualified healthcare professional.

Do I have to use all three every day?

No. Each cream has a different role. Use the products that suit how your skin feels, following the directions supplied, and introduce new products carefully.
